Welcome to our first 3D Design Challenge!

Welcome to 3D Design Challenge. We are very excited to share fun and inspirational 3D creations and challenges with you.

Carrie and I would first like to thank Renee for taking Carrie's photo and creating our banner and blinkies. Please feel free to copy our blinkie and attach it to your own site, to show your support and spread the word. The more the merrier, which also means more inspiration for us all!

Secondly a huge thank you to our 2008 3D Design Challenge sponsors:

August- Creative Cuts and More

September- Daily Window Products
October- Penguin Pants Rubber Stamps
November- Paper Trey Ink

December-
Mollie and Mac

These sponsors will be in our spotlight the 3rd Wednesday of every month, where we will show you inspirational ways to use these fabulous products. The best part, you will have a chance to win some great prizes from these companies!

So...on to the challenge! This week our template is the oh so cute little 2-4-6-8 box. Carrie made this fabulous Christmas box which has a large piece of Twill Tape looped on the back to hang on a tree. How cute would a bunch of these be filled with little goodies hanging all over your tree or attached to garland for the holidays.

My box was made with double sided pattern paper and would be fun to fill with goodies for a party favor or small gift .

Now its your turn, click on the link below to print out our template. Make a 2-4-6-8 box and decorate it your way, then post it to your blog or a gallery. Leave a comment on this post with a link to your creation. We will post all links next Wednesday, August 20th for you to see in our gallery line up. There are no limitations on the amount of times you participate - we want you to enjoy these challenges and just be creative!

Carrie and I
will also post another sample of the 2-4-6-8 box, only we will change it up a bit. We are going to alter the original template design, giving you more options when creating these boxes yourself. The best part about next Wednesday, we will choose one person from our gallery to win a gift certificate from our August sponsor, Creative Cuts and More! So what are you waiting for? Start creating, turn in your creations no later then Tuesday, August 19th at 9PM (MST) and we will see you next Wednesday, August 20th with more creations, another challenge, your gallery and a winner!
*UPDATE* YES, of course everyone including international crafters are welcome to play! We want to see what EVERYONE can create with our challenge template!!
Have fun playing
~Pam

Those boxes are so pretty. I can't wait to get started making one!

Does the box have to be Christmas ? I think I only read that a Christmas tree was your inspiration, so I just thought I would check. Thank you in advance. Great idea, this is my first challenge. I will take it to work and think while on my break. !

Hey Kathy - nope you don't have to make it holiday themed. I think Pam and I just have the holidays on the brain. You can make it any theme you wish. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Hi Shivani - just leave a comment with a link to your picture. It can be on your blog, on SCS or another online gallery that is not password protected.

To get the blinkie, just right click the blinkie and copy image location and that should work.

Hi
Just one more question, you have mentioned as long as our project is on a MB that is not password protected. I belong to the Cricut MB and you can view the project without a password but to leave a comment you have to be signed in as a member.... Is this included in the password protected ?
Thank you in advance !

To answer Kathy's question, as long as the link to your gallery lets us see your project you are in! We would love to leave you a comment, but if we are not able to then know that we are thinking of you and thanking you for playing with us!
Thanks everyone, all of your creations are AWESOME!!

I haven't done a challenge of any kind in some time, so I did it. You can talk a look on my blog.

OMG...these were so easy and fun to do! If it wasn't nearing midnight here I might make a few more. I even busted out my Scor-pal for the first time (was a bday present last month). I got 3 made and will post tomorrow night once I can get some decent light to snap some pics.

I'm also thinking of using this template for Sunday School crafts this fall. I have the 5 year olds and I think they'd have a lot of fun decorating these!
